The SNMP module (Simple Networking Management Protocol) is an optional accessory for use with inverters that can render user ability to have access to information about the inverters from a Web interface known as SNMP Web Manager.  A router, basic networking setting knowledge, and administrative account are required for installation.

The module comes in two parts — SNMP Box and SNMP card.  Models that come with an “intelligent slot” (such as MPI hybrids) may use the card directly simply by inserting the card into the slot.  For most other inverters models without the slot the box option is required and connection is made through the RS232/RJ45 com port.  For USB port models without RS232 com port, an adaptor PCB can be supplied to facilitate the conversion upon request.
